Run Director Tony Sharpe welcomed 125 participants and 25 volunteers to today’s parkrun, again in brilliant sunshine. It was a special day for Tony, who celebrated his birthday at parkrun, and of course enjoyed a birthday serenade to start his day ! Happy Birthday Tony.

FLASH REPORT: Event #287 – Severn Valley Country parkrun
🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🐾☁️

Run Director Lisa Yeomans welcomed 129 participants to today’s parkrun, supported by 25 amazing high-vis heroes 💛

A huge well done to the 26 people taking part in their very first parkrun today, we hope you loved it and can’t wait to see you back again soon 😀

We were also joined by a sea of yellow and green as the Telford Harriers turned out in force and brought plenty of energy to the course!

Well it still doesn’t feel very Spring like does it?
A round up of today from your RD…
Welcome back Steve to the set up team who has been out of action for a while with a shoulder injury. Not only did he do set up but he also scanned barcodes and sorted all the tokens after.
Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers today - I usually get round to thanking them after the event but today I missed so many of you - so if you were volunteering then a huge thank you from me - from the marshals to the tailwalkers, the parkwalkers and barrow pushers and the timekeepers , scanners and token hander outer!
There were no hitches and one of the smoothest run events I’ve been part of for a while.
Lovely to see lots of Telford Harriers attending today (I’m biased on this one as it’s my running club too).
This week we will have a lovely junior doing our report so I look forward to sharing it with you over the next few days.
Finally - thank you to the runners and walkers ! After all, without you lot there would be no event.
I hope you all enjoyed the occasion and I look forward to seeing you soon.
