Today, children and young people are at greater risk of accessing extreme content and could become targeted online for manipulation and exploitation.

During , we’re asking parents and guardians to be aware of online safety and the potential signs of online exploitation in children and young people. Some of these may include. ⬇️

📱 more time spent on devices.

🎭 a change in behaviour.

😔 a development of a strong sense of grievance.

🙇a withdrawal from day-to-day life and routines.

🔄 a change in communications and relationships.

Lovely to welcome Will and Sarah to Evergreen Youth Club last week. 💙

Having a police presence in our sessions is always valuable and helps spark really important conversations with young people.
Last week, we explored the relevance of knife crime and discussed the “Not the One” campaign; encouraging awareness, reflection, and positive choices inside and outside of club.

This week is Knife Crime Awareness Week 🔊
BYS have been out in the local community in Bryntirion carrying out patrols alongside SWP PCSO Natasha Jenkins, engaging with young people and raising awareness about the dangers of knife crime.
