✈️AIR CADET ENROLMENT✈️ Please join us in welcoming the newest members of 1483 (Brentwood) Squadron! 👏

In May, our recruits were enrolled into the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, marking an important milestone in their cadet journey.

Over the past few months, they have shown dedication and enthusiasm while learning drill, dress and discipline, and the values of the RAFAC. They have worked hard and should be proud of all they have achieved so far.

Enrolment is just the beginning of an exciting adventure filled with new opportunities and experiences.

Congratulations to all of our newly enrolled cadets - we look forward to seeing what you achieve in the future! 🌟

🧑‍🍳 Our cadets took on a Wartime MasterChef challenge organised by CI O’Neill, creating both a main course and dessert using only ration-style ingredients!

Well done to our 1st place team, Cpl Davis A, Cdt Dixon, Cdt Onaityte and Cdt Papaphilippou, who achieved an incredible 120 points 🏆👏

🌟PROMOTION🌟 Congratulations to the newly promoted Corporal Deluxson! 🎉

Following a successful interview, he was promoted to the first rank of the Cadet NCO ladder. Since joining the Squadron, Cpl Deluxson has shown outstanding service, excellent personal standards and has become a fantastic role model for all cadets 👏

We are excited to see where his RAFAC journey takes him next ✈️ Well done Corporal!

Today our cadets supported the Brentwood Race for Life in aid of 💖🏃🏻

Our cadets helped lead the warm-up for participants, handed out water to the 10k runners and cheered everyone on at the finish line 👏

Well done to all who attended and an amazing effort by everyone who raised money for such a fantastic cause! 🌟

1483 recently attended the Inter-Squadron Athletics Competition, competing against other Squadrons across . Our cadets performed brilliantly, with the majority earning well-deserved medals 👏

Last weekend, the Road Marching Team and cadets took on the 2-day RAF WARMA march! 🌟

Flying Officer Lee, our Wing Road Marching Officer, planned and organised this fantastic event for the cadets, well done Ma’am 👏 An incredible effort from all involved!

1483 cadets along with completed their Initial Expedition Training Course, led by Flt. Lt. Morgan, gaining valuable experience in campcraft, navigation, stove safety and route planning. All these skills came together during their Sunday walk, where they walked 8km and put their training into action! 🥾⛺️

This weekend provided a fantastic foundation for cadets preparing to begin their awards, which we’re excited to see them start!

A big thank you to all directing staff who assisted 🌟

CWO Scrutton and Cdt Attwater completed their Gold Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) award on the River Wye earlier this month, travelling over 110km in 4 days while remaining fully self-sufficient! 🚣

This is the culmination of a full programme of training, planning, practice and preparation, and we are very proud of them. We look forward to seeing them achieve their Gold Award!

It is also apt to mention the hard work of Flt. Lt. Morgan and Fg. Off. Lee for supporting the expedition, along with the rest of the directing staff team 🌟
