Come along and enjoy a relaxed morning of tea, coffee, cake and good company in the beautiful surroundings of Breedon Priory Church.

Catch up with friends, meet new people, or simply enjoy a little peaceful time in the church or churchyard. We’ll also have a short Thought for the Day, given by Rev Sue Field or one of our Ministry Team.

By joining us, you’re also helping to support and keep our wonderful parish church at the heart of our community for generations to come.

Join us for a wonderful day at Breedon Priory Church as Breedon Wakes Festival brings the hill to life with history, heritage and traditional entertainment.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy the Ferrers Household Medieval Encampment, historic crafts and demonstrations 🏹 traditional skills ⚒️ refreshments ☕️ craft stalls 🎨, Ice cream van 🍦Pizza van🍕 BBQ 🍔Cakes 🍰and plenty more for all the family.

Below you’ll find the full programme of events, with activities taking place throughout the day.

🏰 JUST ONE WEEK TO GO UNTIL BREEDON WAKES FESTIVAL! 🏰

The countdown is on! Next Saturday, 5th September, Breedon Hill will come alive for a fantastic day of history, heritage and family fun at Breedon Priory Church.

⚔️ Step back in time and experience The Ferrers Household Medieval Encampment, bringing the sights, sounds and atmosphere of the past to life.

Discover historic crafts and traditional skills, watch fascinating demonstrations, enjoy games and activities, and meet the people recreating life from centuries gone by.

There’ll also be craft stalls, food and refreshments, church heritage activities and plenty for the whole family to see, do and discover.

🐕 Dogs are welcome on leads.

ECLIPSE VIEWING THIS EVENING – PLEASE TAKE EXTRA CARE 🌒

For everyone coming up to Breedon Hill to watch the eclipse this evening, please be especially mindful of the very dry ground conditions.

🔥 The risk of fire is particularly high at the moment, so we kindly ask everyone to take a few simple precautions:

🚭 Please dispose of ci******es carefully and make absolutely sure they are fully extinguished.
🍾 Please do not leave or discard any glass. As well as being dangerous to people and wildlife, glass can present an additional hazard in hot, dry conditions.
🚫🔥 NO BBQs or open flames please.
🗑️ Please take all litter home with you or use the bins provided.

We want everyone to enjoy this evening's eclipse safely while also helping us protect Breedon Hill, the surrounding countryside and local wildlife.
