Talgarth FIRE Station

Talgarth Fire Station needs more part time firefighters

30/08/2026

We’re opening the doors at Talgarth Fire Station as part of this year’s Talgarth Festival!

Sunday 30th August 2026 from midday!

Everyone is welcome to pop in, have a look around the station, see the fire engine and equipment, and most importantly, have a chat with the crew. Whether you’re interested in what we do, thinking about becoming an on-call firefighter, or just fancy having a nose around, come along and say hello.

We’ll be there to welcome you, answer questions and show you a little bit of what goes on behind the scenes at your local fire station. We’d love to see you!

Not quite the birthday all-nighter most people would be used to, but luckily someone tipped off the staff at the 24/7 McDonald's“walk-through” when we called in for a drink.

Happy birthday FF Nathan Matthews

We just wanted to say a massive thanks for everyone's continued support over the last few weeks and to share a few photos with you. Like all fire stations its been a extremely busy period for us but hugely rewarding. We've been up Llangynidr mountain most days over the last week but also lots of other calls.

There are too many people to thank.

We are recruiting so if you are interested please complete the below form or call in for a chat, we drill Tuesday 6-8pm.

🔥 Talgarth Fire Station Update 🔥

Talgarth Fire Station has been busy recently responding to a number of wildfire incidents across Mid and West Wales, as have many stations throughout the Service.

One of the recent larger incidents can be seen on the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service incident page here 👇

Wildfires place a significant demand on firefighters, appliances and support crews, often requiring long hours in challenging conditions.

A special thank you goes to Rapid Relief Team UK for looking after crews so well during these incidents. Their support, refreshments and hospitality are hugely appreciated.

You can find out more about their work, or support them, by visiting 🌐 https://www.rrtglobal.org

🚒 We are still recruiting On-Call Firefighters

If you live or work near Talgarth and would like to serve your community, gain new skills and be part of a dedicated local team, we would love to hear from you.

Apply your interest here 👇
