Brecon Volunteer Bureau

Brecon Volunteer Bureau Brecon Volunteer Bureau is a charity that acts as a link between people seeking voluntary work and people or organisations who provide voluntary work.

Mae Swyddfa Gwirfoddoli Aberhonddu (BVB) yn elusen sy'n gweithredu fel cyswllt
rhwng pobl sy'n chwilio am waith gwirfoddol a sefydliadau sy'n darparu gwaith
gwirfoddol. Brecon Volunteer Bureau through volunteering provision, is integral in helping other organisations realise projects for wider community benefit. We recruit volunteers, promote volunteering opportunities and signpost people to other

community services. We have a wealth of local knowledge and contacts within the area. BVB also holds events, runs a twice weekly Tea Club, holds the Brecon Repair Cafe once a month to repair broken items, and other activities to respond to community need. The Vaults are available for other groups to use- please enquire. Trwy ddarpariaeth wirfoddoli, mae Swyddfa Gwirfoddoli Aberhonddu yn rhan annatod o helpu sefydliadau eraill i wireddu prosiectauer budd ehangach y gymuned. Rydym yn recriwtio gwirfoddolwyr, yn darparu cyfleoedd gwirfoddoli a gwybodaeth gymunedol ac yn cyfeirio pobl at wasanaethau cymunedol eraill. Mae BVB hefyd yn cynnal digwyddiadau, yn rhedeg Clwb Te dwywaith yr wythnos, yn
cynnal Caffi Atgyweirio Aberhonddu unwaithy mis i atgyweirio eitemau sydd wedi torri, ac yn trefnu gweithgareddau eraill wrth ymateb i anghenion y gymuned. Mae'r Fowtiau ar gael i grwpiau eraill eu defnyddio - gofynnwch i ni am fwy o wybodaeth. Brecon Volunteer Bureau /Swyddfa Gwirfoddoli Aberhonddu

🧡 It's , and we'd like to say a big thank you to all the volunteers who support UK Men’s Sheds Association.

Our Trustees, Ambassadors, and everyone who gives their time behind the scenes to help the movement grow. Whether you're visiting Sheds, sharing your experience, supporting events, representing us in your community or helping shape what comes next, we couldn't do it without you.

Of course, we know that's only part of the story.

Across the UK, Sheds themselves are powered by volunteers. The people who manage them, open up in the morning, organise activities, look after the tools, sort the paperwork, make the tea, welcome new members and somehow keep everything running week after week.

Many Sheds are run entirely by volunteers. Others would struggle to function without them.

The thing about Shed volunteers is that they rarely make a fuss. They just get on with it.

So this Volunteers' Week, here's a huge thank you to every single one of you. The time you give, the skills you share and the welcome you offer make a real difference to people's lives.

👇 We'd love to hear about the volunteers in your Shed.

Who's the person that keeps everything ticking over? Give them a shout out in the comments and let's show them some appreciation.

Got some spare time? Come along and bash some balsam! The more people help out the more balsam we can get rid of.

🌟 WELCOME TO VOLUNTEERS' WEEK 2026! 🌟

This week is all about saying a massive, heartfelt thank you to the incredible people who keep our community moving.

We’re proud to be taking part in Volunteers’ Week 2026 – marking 42 years of saying thank you to all volunteers across the UK for everything they do for society.

Here at Brecon and District Dial-a-Ride, our volunteers are the absolute heartbeat of what we do. They are the friendly faces behind the wheel, the helping hands on board, and the reason we are always "More Than a Minibus."

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing some wonderful stories from our team—including a very special milestone celebration later this week!

To our wonderful community: Please join us in celebrating them! Drop a ❤️ or a "thank you" in the comments below to show our volunteers some well-deserved love today. 👇
