With the weather warming up today after a chilly weekend we hope to see you at The Retreat Cafe in Glen Esk ☺️. Start off or finish off your day of exploring with some homemade soup, sandwiches and cake 🍰

It’s been super to see campers in Tarfside this weekend for the May weekend. Yesterday we had some lovely visitors from Harrogate who dried off in front of the fire and some possible new volunteers too!

Open today until 4pm, who could resist this incredible cranberry fudge!

Sandwiches, toasties and soup all made in-house, come and visit us ☺️

I'm delighted to tell you that from tomorrow Friday 1st May we are now open from 12noon to 4pm, Friday to Sunday.

NEW OPENING HOURS AT THE RETREAT CAFE

From tomorrow Friday 1st May we are delighted to tell you that we are extending our opening hours at The Retreat Cafe.

Open Friday-Sunday 12noon to 4pm and even better, we are open this Monday 4th May for those of you planning your May long weekend.

We offer a warm welcome, delicious homemade sandwiches, toasties, soup and CAKE!

It’s a beautiful day today in Glen Esk ☀️ 🐿️ 🌳

There is a busy week ahead here at Glenesk Folk Museum

On Friday night at 7.30pm the Tarfside SWRI are holding their very popular annual Quiz night in the Community Room. There is a bar, proceeds from which support the running of the Museum.

Tickets cost £5 each and can be bought at the door. Teams of 4 will compete. Supper, is included in the price consisting of sandwiches, savouries and cakes made by the SWRI members so it’s certain to be delicious, accompanied by coffee and tea.

On Saturday Sporran - The Humble Highland Purse exhibition is open between 10am and 4.30pm (last admissions 3.30pm) Tickets cost £5 each
