Reading Quest - Additional sessions.

Congratulations to everyone who has finished the Reading Quest so far at Brandon Library. Although it officially ended on the last weekend in August, we are laying on some additional times.

Please see below for some additional sessions with Staff for those who would still like to complete the reading quest before the presentation or want to collect more of your missing stickers:

AT LEGO CLUB TODAY.......

The Animal Park was a great addition to the farm, the new tractor was unveiled and the new police station at Bricksford proved popular. Thanks as always to our builders.

We are open as usual 10am-3pm on Saturday and Sunday this weekend but the whole centre is closed on Monday the 31st.

EXPECTO PATRONUM?

There were tense stand-offs between Harry Potter and Dementors, some animal antics, and a rail Station terminus designed to serve the Lego Hospital and bijou hotel already on display.

When children came in for their fourth or fifth visit of Reading Quest, they had a lovely surprise.

They were allowed to take home a free brand-new book courtesy of the 'Friends of Brandon Library'. This is one of many things the 'friend's group' is helping to support in the National Year of Reading.

If you have completed 4 or 5 visits but not had an opportunity to pick a book- come in and see us. There's still a few weeks to complete the Quest and claim your medal, certificate and more.

This budding writer just collected his prizes at Brandon Library, for winning his category in our 'Curious Creatures Short Story' competition. The challenge set by Suffolk Community Libraries was to choose one or more of our Curious Creatures and make them the main character in a 500-word story.

The competition had lots of entries across Suffolk, and it was lovely to see one of our talented writers achieve success. Thank you to everyone who submitted a story.

Our Treasure Hunt is now up and running. The challenge is to find 12 Letters hidden in the Library which can be rearranged to spell a phrase.
