Tha an drochaid fosgailte | The bridge is open🤩
For those unaware, the suspension bridge at Corrieshalloch Gorge reopened last week, this follows the bridge’s annual engineering works, along with deep cleaning and painting.
Thanks to the expertise of our contractors Dinardo Partnership, Trac High Level Maintenance, Coffey Geotechnics and Sgùrr Access & Marine Services who provided all repairs and maintenance on this historic bridge.
Built in 1874 for the Victorian engineer Sir John Fowler, this historic bridge is now 152 years old and still remains a key part of the visitor experience to Corrieshalloch. It costs around £17,000 each year to maintain this special little bridge, which is funded entirely by parking tickets, NTS memberships and donations to our charity.
Many thanks for your support everyone.
