Officers investigating an on-going series of e-bike robberies in Bradford have made three arrests.
An investigation was launched after reports of scams linked to e-bikes, quad bikes and motorbikes in the Holme Wood area.
Two men, aged 49 and 22, and a 16-year-old have been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
A number of motorcycles and cash have been recovered, and all three have been bailed as enquiries continue.
Anyone who has any information about robberies is urged to contact Bradford CID on 101 or online at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/livechat.
Information can also be shared anonymously with the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

🚔 Operation SWEETGILL – Tackling Two-Wheeled Crime 🏍️
On Thursday 19th June 2026, officers from Bradford South NPT were out as part of Operation SWEETGILL when they spotted this Surron motorcycle on the Sutton Estate.
With support from Roads Policing unit (RPU) and Bradford East NPT, officers engaged in a short pursuit… which quickly turned into a footrace when the rider decided running was the better option 👟💨
Safe to say, our officers were up for the challenge – after a brief foot chase, the rider was successfully detained ✅
The rider, a 16-year-old male, will now be reported for:
Driving without due care and attention
Failing to stop for police
No insurance
No licence
The bike itself? Not road registered, not insured… and now not going anywhere 🚫🏍️ (seized).
Safeguarding referrals have also been submitted to ensure the right support is in place.
Message of the day: If you think you can outrun the police… think again 😉

We stopped this Ford due to it being flagged as having no insurance on Southfield Road West Yorkshire Police - Bradford South. The driver, a Bradford resident, confidently produced a policy that a room mate in London had purchased for him. Whilst the policy was genuine, unfortunately for our driver it did not start until July. Therefore, no cover in place for this journey and our driver now faces a court appearance where, as a licence holder for less than 2 years, faces the prospect of returning to learner status.

🏃‍♀️ JogOn Campaign – Keeping Runners Safe
As the weather warms up and more people head out to exercise, partners across Bradford are continuing to highlight the JogOn campaign 🌤️
The campaign tackles harassment and abuse experienced by female runners, particularly along popular routes like canal towpaths. Behaviour such as shouting, making sexual comments or acting in an intimidating way is not acceptable ❌
👮‍♂️ Officers are carrying out targeted patrols in hotspot areas, including plain-clothed deployments, to identify and deal with offenders.
The campaign also offers free Active Bystander training to help people safely step in if they witness harassment 🙌
👉 If you experience or witness this behaviour, please report it.
Everyone deserves to feel safe and confident while exercising 💙

⚽ Free Football Sessions in Bradford!
Looking for a fun and active way to spend your Wednesdays? Join these free football sessions for young people aged 8–18, starting from 10th June. Sessions run every week from 4:30pm to 5:30pm at Tong Leadership Academy, Westgate Hill Street, East Bierley (BD4 6NR).

We've charged six people after an investigation into drug offending on the Holme Wood Estate.

Kelly Calvert, aged 41, Codie Calvert, aged 23 and Karen Calvert aged 62, all of Stirling Crescent, Aaron Stafford, aged 43 of Knutsford Grove, Liam Webster, aged 28, of Crawford Avenue and a 17 year old boy who we can’t name for legal reasons have all been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (co***ne) and conspiracy to supply Class B drugs (amphetamine.)

Codie was further charge with being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

They are due to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court on July 1.

These charges come after an investigation by the Op Sweetgill team, a team dedicated to tackling criminality on Holme Wood.
