A man from Bradford has been charged with drug offences after an investigation by officers from the Operation Sweetgill team on the Holme Wood estate.

Anthony Tidswell aged 23, of St Margarets Avenue has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs (co***ne) possession with intent to supply class A drugs )co***ne) and possession of criminal property.

Tidswell appeared at Bradford Magistrates’ Court this morning and was remanded to next appear at Bradford Crown Court on 6 October.

Operation Sweetgill is a team dedicated to tackling Organised Crime and Drugs Supply within the Holme Wood Estate and continues to work as part of the Holme Wood Community Partnership to make the area a safer place for all.

Sheds and garages often contain valuable items such as bikes, power tools, gardening equipment and DIY gear, making them attractive targets for thieves.

Here are a few simple steps you can take to help keep your property secure:

Fit strong locks to shed and garage doors
Install security lighting to deter intruders
Keep tools out of sight and securely stored
Consider using a shed alarm or CCTV camera
Lock bikes and valuable equipment to a secure anchor point
Mark and register valuable property where possible

Taking a few minutes now could help prevent the loss of valuable items later.

The 29-year-old has breached the terms of his licence and is wanted on recall to prison having been convicted of GBH.

He is 5ft 6in tall and has connections to Nuneaton and Leamington as well as Bradford in West Yorkshire.

📍 Community Engagement at St Wilfrid’s Church, Great Horton

Today at 10am, PC 3532 Kumar attended St Wilfrid’s Church in Great Horton to meet with church volunteers and discuss the fantastic work being carried out to support our local community.

The visit provided an opportunity to learn more about the various community events and initiatives hosted by the church, which help bring together residents, partners, and local organisations. Building strong partnerships is key to creating safer and more connected communities.

PC Kumar also spoke with food bank users about any ongoing issues affecting them and their local area. These conversations are invaluable in helping us understand community concerns and work together to identify solutions and provide support where needed.

A big thank you to everyone at St Wilfrid’s Church for their warm welcome and for the continued work they do to support local people. 🤝

🚲🔒 Protect Your E-Bike from Theft
E-bikes are becoming increasingly popular, but unfortunately their high value and portability also make them an attractive target for thieves.
There are simple steps you can take to reduce the risk of your e-bike being stolen and improve the chances of it being recovered if it does go missing.
✅ Use a quality lock and secure your bike properly
✅ Store your e-bike in a secure location when not in use
✅ Register and mark your bike
✅ Keep a record of the frame number and photographs
