🌿 Volunteer Wellbeing Away Day 🌿

Last week, our wonderful volunteers enjoyed a well-deserved wellbeing away day at Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

It was a fantastic opportunity to step away from our daily routines, spend time in nature, explore the inspiring sculptures, and connect with one another in a relaxed setting. The day was filled with laughter, conversation, reflection, and plenty of fresh air.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers for their dedication, commitment, and hard work.

Join us on Friday 26th June as BEACON staff, volunteers, supporters, and community members take part in a sponsored walk around Bradford City Centre to raise awareness and vital funds for refugees and people seeking asylum.

The walk will celebrate Bradford’s strong community spirit while supporting BEACON’s work providing practical support, guidance, and a welcoming space for those rebuilding their lives in the UK.

Every step taken and every donation made will help promote inclusion, dignity, and hope for people seeking safety and a fresh start.

Wednesday last week, McKenzie Friends volunteers came together at Global Café to share tea, cake, memories, and stories from the past 20 years.

It was a warm and heartfelt afternoon celebrating friendship, commitment, and the incredible support volunteers have given to others navigating the justice system.

Just a reminder that after 19 incredible years, the BEACON McKenzie Friends project is coming to a close. While it’s hard to say goodbye, we’re excited to welcome a new chapter with the launch of the BEACON Advice and Asylum project (BAA).

We’d love you to join us as we celebrate everyone who has been part of the journey since 2007 and the hundreds of successes achieved along the way.
