We are really excited to share that football icon Jill Scott will be passing through Bolton Abbey on Thursday 11th June as she completes her incredible ‘Coming Home Challenge’. We expect she will pass through around midday, but her exact timings and location can be tracked on the link below.

Jill is making her way from Wembley Stadium to the Stadium of Light in Sunderland as part of her 388 mile duathlon in aid of Sport Relief .

En route, Jill will pass through Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester, homes to some of the other great stadiums Jill played in, before making her way home to the North East (via Bolton Abbey)!

Every mile raises money for Sport Relief–funded projects that use sport to help provide safety, support and security for people when they need it most.

To find out more or to donate towards Jill’s fundraising efforts for Sports Relief, visit: www.comicrelief.com/jillscott

Are you on the lookout for a new space to work (and possibly live)?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to rent a commercial space in the heart of the village here at Bolton Abbey.

This charming space offers a central location, benefitting from a steady flow of visitors exploring the nearby Priory Church and Ruins. It would offer a wonderful working environment with fantastic views across the estate.

There is also the opportunity to rent a 2 bedroom flat above. With beautiful walks right from your doorstep, it could offer the perfect work/life balance.

For rural office space, we also have a property to let at nearby Storiths, offering two meeting rooms and stunning views across the neighbouring farm and moorland.

Visit our website for more information or email us to arrange a viewing -

Our favourite running event of the year is just around the corner!

There are still a few places remaining for this year’s Sue Ryder Solstice Saunter! With a beautiful 5 mile route on offer, and an equally beautiful finisher’s medal, it's no surprise the event is a sell-out every year.

Taking place on the longest day of the year, the evening promises a great atmosphere and is suitable for those looking to achieve a PB or those who prefer to take in their surroundings as they saunter around the course!

Last weekend we were joined by the Yorkshire Dales National Park’s, Senior Wildlife Conservation Officer, Ian Court, who led our Dawn Chorus event.

The event requires an early start, but is always worth it! Ian shared his passion and expertise with the enthusiastic group who enjoyed listening to Ian’s top birdwatching tips and tricks.

Sightings on the morning included the coal tit, great tit, dippers, pied flycatcher, nuthatch, chaffinch, swifts, buzzard, chiff chaff and common sandpiper to name just a few!

The next event to take place in our series of ‘closer to nature’ events is the Moorland Safari. There are still a few tickets available for this very popular event.
