Our special PYJAMARAMA event on Monday was a great success, and I want to thank everyone who wore their PJs, donated and participated in this fund raiser. We have raised £75.00 which will be split equally between Martin House Hospice, The Children’s Cancer Charity and Candlelighters who support children with Cancer and their families and are currently supporting one of our little Storytimers🥰.
And a big thank you to Amy Solomons our friend from National Literacy Trust in Bradford who gifted books to all the children.🧒

We are very pleased to announce that Rachel Sunderland has been selected as a candidate for the postponed Idle and Thackley election, along with councillors Aislin Naylor and Alun Griffiths.
Rachel is an experienced Lib Dem campaigner and has been an active member of the campaign team in Bradford for more than 15 years. She is operations manager at the Springfield Centre and prior to that served as a Bradford councillor for seven years and worked as a senior caseworker to a member of parliament. She says:
“At the Springfield Centre I see how the right support opportunities can change lives. That is the approach I will bring as a councillor: practical help, compassion and determination.”
“I was lucky enough to work alongside and volunteer with my mum. To work alongside her was to learn from the best, she had the ability to, challenge and support you in equal measure. There will not be another like her, but the Lib Dem team and I are committed to continue her work and champion Idle and Thackley.

Meet The Memory Tree at Idle Library on Tuesday 19th May from 10am-1pm as part of Dementia Action Week.

Find out about their regular meetings, information & signposting to dementia support.

There will also be a "Help Yourself Information Table" in the library from Tuesday 19th May - Wednesday 27th May.

Idle Library is located in the Wright Watson Centre, Thorp Garth, Idle, BD10 9LD
