This weekend, the Squadron ran its first joint Passing out Parade and Recruitment day!

On Saturday morning, we celebrated the achievements of our recent intakes with a Passing out Parade. Many thanks to Air Commodore (Rtd) Stirrat for attending the Parade as our Reviewing Officer.

In the afternoon, we welcomed 21 potential new recruits to the Squadron, showcasing the activities on offer across the Squadron and the Organisation. Our new recruits will complete a 6-month programme, taking part in a wide range of activities, culminating in their own Passing out Parade.

Well Done CWO Patel!

Yesterday Cadet Warrant Officer Shreya Patel was officially appointed as Lord Lieutenant's Cadet!

She has been in the corps since 2021 and has taken on every opportunity and challenge that has come her way.

During her time, she has attended 10 camps, has achieved Gold First Aid, Gold Leadership, has previously won NCO IC for South and West Yorkshire Wing twice, and is the joint NCO IC of Bradford squadron.

Even though she has achieved a lot within the organisation, she continues to inspire cadets by teaching and helping them develop into becoming better people within the organisation, and in civilian life.

Last parade night the Sector Commander came down and was interviewed by some of our NCOs. She spoke on her role within the organisation, her ambitions, and her favourite things to do within RAFAC.

Today some cadets came to the squadron to practice their archery shooting in preparation for the Wing competition. 🏹

The day was spent perfecting techniques, correcting form, and playing games. 🎯

Well done to Cpl Ahmed for winning first place, and Cdt Bridge J who won second place during the competition today!

This week CWO Mistry was completing his gold space course at Inskip.

This was the first ever North Region course for gold space. He spent the week studying all aspects of the space, learning how to teach the syllabus, and making friends on his course.

Last night the squadron did a rank swap.

The staff and NCOs auctioned off their ranks to the cadets, and the cadets had to act as their role for the night while the current staff and NCO team acted as cadets.

There was a lot of chaos, mischief and giggles throughout the night!

Well done to the people that planned and ran the parade night!
