🚧 Major repairs to A6033 Hebden Bridge Road 🚧

Please remember, from tomorrow (2 June) the A6033 between Oxenhope and Hebden Bridge will be closed for around seven weeks to allow contractors to repair two damaged culverts which run under the road.

πŸ’§ The broken Victorian culverts aren't draining rainwater properly, risking further road damage if not fixed.
🚫 Due to the depth and scale of the work, a full road closure is required β€” the engineers have developed a plan to halve the full road closure time, so it can reopen under temporary traffic lights before the start of the school summer holidays.
🌿 Summer work avoids disturbing ground-nesting birds and is it’s safer and quicker to work due to drier conditions.

πŸ“ The closure begins at Keepers Lodge.
🚍 The B3 bus will terminate in Oxenhope during the closure.
πŸ” A diversion route will be in place.

Thank you for your patience as we work to carry out these vital repairs as quickly as possible.

Information about the road closure and diversion can be found here: https://one.network/?GB141389810

The Bradford Shipley Route Improvement Scheme consultation is happening now!

You may have seen this consultation pop up before. Here’s why we’re asking for your feedback again –

Our original plans to improve key transport routes into and out of the city centre were consulted on and were well received by you! We listened to your feedback and with that in mind, we have revised the scheme to be even more sustainable and safety conscious.

The scheme still sets out to achieve the same goals but proposes improved changes around greenery and street furniture, traffic signals, reducing rat runs and integrating more traffic enforcement.

We want to hear what you think. The final online consultation is on Tuesday 13 August, 6pm – 7pm. you can sign up following the link below.

You can also read up on the scheme and leave your feedback here:

⚠️ May we remind you that placing advertising banners on street furniture, lampposts, traffic signals, and pedestrian guardrail (as pictured) is strictly not permitted ❗️

It poses a number of health & safety issues, not to mention it is a prosecutable offence.

The Bradford Shipley Route Improvement Scheme has been amended!

This scheme aims to improve local journeys as well as increase active travel along Manningham Lane and Canal Road.

So far, we have completed two consultations on the scheme, both of which were received positively with general support for the proposals. However, due to your feedback and other government policy related factors including the need to keep pace with on sustainability, we are now presenting a revised scheme to the public.
