Braddan Commissioners elect new Chairman for 2026/2027 Municipal Year

Braddan Commissioners held their Annual General Meeting on Thursday 21st May and are pleased to announce that Mr Andrew Jessopp was elected as Chairman for the next Municipal year.

Mr Jessopp brings a wealth of experience to the appointment having previously served as Chairman to the Commissioners from as far back as 2013.

Mr Dan Stevenson was elected as Vice Chairman.

Mr Stevenson was also elected to serve on the Municipal Association and Mr Jessopp was elected to represent the Board on the Eastern Civic Amenity Site Committee.

Mr Jessopp stated:
“It is an honour to be selected to act as the Chairman of the Board again over the next 12 months and I would like to thank Mr Neal Mellon for his dedication to the role for the prior Municipal Year.

Over the next year we will continue to engage actively with the community and commerce and continue to build a Parish that is vibrant, welcoming and forward-looking.”

🚍 Shuttle Bus During Road Closures
During road closures, a dedicated link service 22k will operate to and from Noble’s hospital every 30 minutes.
⏱️ Please be aware that this service may experience delays during busy periods.
➡️ The 22k will take you to St Ninian’s, where you can cross the bridge to connect with the 22v service to Douglas - and vice versa.
🔗 Simply cross the footbridge at St Ninian’s to access both services.

With TT Week fast approaching, please remember that if you are a tenant of Braddan Parish Commissioners you should always seek approval from your landlord before allowing visitors to stay in your home.

Allowing visitors to stay in your home without landlord approval either as part of the Homestay scheme or outside of it with a private arrangement, is a breach of your Tenancy Agreement and could put your tenancy at risk.

Please ensure you seek written permission first, before allowing anyone to live in your property who is not listed on your occupancy forms. If you have any queries, please contact us; email [email protected] or telephone 852808.
