Bracknell Library hosted another fascinating local history talk yesterday, this time exploring the history of Bracknell Forest’s brickworks. A big thank you to Colin Bird from The Bracknell Forest Society for sharing his knowledge and bringing this important part of our local heritage to life.

If you'd like to learn more about the importance of the brickworks to Bracknell Forest, Michael Dumbleton's booklet, Brickmaking: a local industry, is available at Bracknell and Binfield Libraries. You can also discover more about the area's rich past by exploring our local studies and history collections.
