🚨 Drowning Prevention Week starts this weekend, and we’re inviting residents and visitors to join us at Jenkins Field, Glenridding, on Sunday 14 June between 10am and 2pm for a free family-friendly event focused on water safety.

Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service will be joining partners from Westmorland and Furness Council, GLL, North West Ambulance Service and local community responders to share potentially life-saving advice ahead of the busy summer season.

Visitors will be able to:

✅ Learn essential water safety advice
✅ Watch CPR demonstrations and learn basic life-saving skills
✅ Take part in family-friendly activities and challenges
✅ Speak to emergency services and partner organisations

Whether you live locally or are visiting the area, taking a few minutes to learn what to do in an emergency could help save a life.

We look forward to seeing you there.
