Hello everyone

Here's a quick look at some of the work we've been doing to keep our community safe and connected



1 x Arrest

5 x Address checks and reassurance visits
4 Hours of patrol on foot/mobile in problem area
1 x 35 Dispersal order issued for 48hrs
1 x Seizure of illegal e-scooter
Last week EAST BOURNEMOUTH & CHRISTCHURCH NPT officers dealt with a report of open fires at KINGS PARK RECREATION GROUND. Officers attended, finding a group of people with a lit barbeque. Officers instructed the group to extinguish the barbeque and they did so. The group were given strong words of advice and a warning that lighting of fires in this area is not only a breach of UK government guidance, but also a breach of the Open Spaces Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in place in the area.



NPT officers also disrupted a car in the CHRISTCHURCH area. After seeing the vehicle being driven in a suspicious manner, officers located the car parked up and left unlocked. Officers searched the vehicle, locating and seizing a quantity of illegal drugs. The vehicle was seized and enquiries are ongoing to identify the driver / owner.

NPT officers also assisted other DORSET POLICE officers who had raised concerns for the welfare of a homeless female. NPT officers located the female, checked on her welfare and updated the other officers accordingly.

APPEAL | Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a burglary at an address in Bournemouth.

Between 3.30am and 4am on Wednesday 2 September 2026 a residential address in Alton Road was broken into.

It was reported that a man gained entry to the address and stole a bag and wallet from inside.

The man is described as white and aged in his 30s to 40s, and was wearing a black balaclava, a long sleeve blue Nike hooded jumper, dark coloured cargo style trousers and Nike trainers with a green Nike tick.

Police Constable Antony Brooks, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity or a man matching the description given in the area in the early hours of Wednesday 2 September 2026.

“Finally, I would ask residents to check their home CCTV footage for anything of relevance.”

APPEAL | We are investigating two reports of indecent exposure in Bournemouth and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

It is reported that at around 7am on Wednesday 2 September 2026 a woman was walking her dog in the area of Granby Road when she noticed a man indecently exposing himself.

It ifurther reported that at around 8am, another woman was walking her dog in the area of Granby Road and also saw a man indecently exposing himself.

The man, who was believed to be involved in both incidents, was described as white and of slim build. He was wearing a short denim skirt, fishnet style stockings and a dark jacket.

Police Constable Jamie Spry, of Dorset Police, said: “This was distressing for both of the victims and we are carrying out enquiries to identify the person involved.

“I am keen to hear from anyone with information that might assist our investigation or who saw a man matching the description given in the area on the morning of Wednesday 2 September 2026.”

Our Neighbourhood Policing Officers at Winton have had a busy week; here is a quick snapshot of some of what the team has been up to.

 North Bournemouth assisted Immigration Enforcement in an Operation in Charminster and issued two traffic offence reports to delivery riders for driving without insurance
 Conducted visits to youths linked to knife-carrying incidents
 Voluntary Attendance by a youth for possession of cannabis
 Attended and investigated a burglary report
 Completed a cuckooing check which resulted in the arrest of a suspect and the seizure of a large quantity of drugs and cash
 Three further cuckooing checks made
 Conducted two welfare checks
 Issued a Community Protection Warning (CPW) for anti-social behaviour
 Issued a Section 59 warning
 Issued a cannabis-related Community Resolution (CR)
 Submitted nine intelligence reports
 Op Track in Charminster, Winton, Slades Park and West Howe
 Safeguarded two vulnerable people with a Public Protection Notice (PPN)

UPDATE | A woman has been identified following an image appeal in relation to a report of a suspected theft in Bournemouth.

It is reported that the victim’s phone and bank card had gone missing while she was visiting Castlepoint Shopping Centre on Tuesday 28 July 2026. A woman later made enquiries about selling the victim’s phone at CEX in Castle Lane West. The victim’s bank card was also fraudulently used at a McDonalds in Bournemouth later that week.

Following enquiries by officers and an image appeal, a woman has been identified in connection with the incident and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

👮‍♂️ Meet Your Local Team 👋

I’m PCSO Harold Martinez (5453). I’ve been a PCSO for 17 years here in Bournemouth. I wanted to be PCSO because it focuses on engaging with the community, preventing crime and supporting vulnerable people. I enjoy listening to concerns, helping resolve problems before they escalate, and working closely alongside police officers. I’m proud that many of you already know me, and I see myself as the eyes and ears of the community 👀.

In the summer especially, one of the most rewarding parts of the job is helping to locate missing people and seeing them safely reunited with their families. There’s no better feeling than knowing you’ve helped in a situation like that.

Before joining Dorset Police, I was a bus driver, and throughout my policing career I’ve always worked within neighbourhood policing. It’s where I feel I can make the biggest difference.

When you see me out on patrol, whether I’m on foot, on my bike 🚴 or in a vehicle, I hope you feel that you know me and that you can trust me. If you ever feel nervous about speaking to a police officer or PCSO, please don’t. I’m here to help, not to judge. I’ll always take the time to listen.

If you have a concern, you can stop me when I’m out and about. Many local businesses already have my details, and I’m always happy to hear from you.

Some things about me;
- I enjoy spending time at home, going to the gym 💪,

Following receipt of intelligence from a member of the public regarding suspected drug dealing and possible cuckooing at a property in Winton, officers from Bournemouth North Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted a welfare check on a tenant there.
During this check a significant quantity of controlled drugs was located and seized. £17K in cash was also discovered and a male was arrested on suspicious of drug offenses.
This successful operation highlights the vital role of community intelligence in supporting proactive policing and ensuring we continue take drugs out of our communities.

JAILED | A man has been jailed following an investigation by detectives into a violent attack in Bournemouth.

James Junior Cunningham, aged 19 and of Bournemouth, has been sentenced to 11 years and 9 months in prison.

On the evening of Thursday 19 December 2025, Cunningham assaulted a man in the area of Boscombe Gardens.

He used a knife to inflict three stab wounds to the victim’s face and head.

The victim – aged in his 20s – was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which were not life-threatening or life-changing.

A detailed investigation was launched and following enquiries, Cunningham was arrested and subsequently charged in connection with the incident.

Cunningham was sentenced at Wi******er Crown Court on Tuesday 25 August 2026 after pleading guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article.

Detective Constable Jack Gibson, of Dorset Police, said: “This was a nasty assault which could have had an even more tragic outcome.

“Fast-time enquiries by detectives identified Cunningham as the attacker, and the investigation that ensued allowed us to bring him before court to face justice for his actions.

“Although Dorset has one of the lowest rates of knife crime in the country, we take these offences very seriously and will continue our efforts to remove knife crime from the streets.

“There is no excuse for carrying a knife and we will relentlessly pursue those who choose to carry them and commit offences.”

Bournemouth South NPT have had a busy week last week. Despite the quite changeable weather the Town was busy with the last of the holiday makers before most head home for the start of another school year.

Here are some of the highlights -
• 5 Arrests - 1 Arrest, charge and remand of high harm DA offender for breach of court bail & positive outcome for drug possession.
• High Vis ASB patrols around Horse Shoe Common and Triangle - one illegal scooter seized.
• Three cuckooing checks at the homes of vulnerable victims
• 8 stop searches for drugs, weapons and stolen items
• 2 vehicles seized
• High Vis ASB patrols Braidley Road and St Stephens Church area.

Our ASB patrols are targeted to areas based on the reports from the public - please use our online portal to highlight these to us. If you don't say, we don't know!

Lastly, we also welcomed Trev to Team A - he is a Special that has joined up to give something back to the community. We are lucky to have such people willing to give up their time for free - please look out for him and say hi 👋
