And helping doesn't have to mean giving up hours every week.

You could deliver a few leaflets on your own street, join us for an occasional campaign session, help at an event, make some calls, or lend a hand with admin or digital campaigning.

Rutland’s Ceremonial County status remains at risk. Now, it appears, a group of Cities in England have discovered their proud status as cities will be lost because of local govt re-organisation, and they’ll revert to being towns, unless action is taken. We’ve been campaigning now for 18 months, I’ll keep fighting.

I’m sorry other communities are facing challenges, but I hope having more people affected forces the Government to take action to resolve the issue they’ve created, I just wish others had realised earlier.

🏦 Great news for Stamford – our temporary Banking Hub is now open!

The new temporary hub is now up and running at Stamford Arts Centre, 27 St Mary’s Street, providing an important face-to-face banking service right in the heart of the town.

Residents and local businesses will be able to use the hub for a range of everyday banking needs, including:

💷 Cash withdrawals and deposits
💷 Balance enquiries
💷 Bill payments
💷 Cheque deposits
💷 Change-giving services for local businesses

There will also be dedicated days when Community Bankers from participating banks are available to provide more specialist help and support.

With the loss of so many high street banking services over recent years, I know how important it has been to residents and businesses that we retain access to face-to-face banking here in Stamford.

I’m really pleased to see the temporary hub now open at the Arts Centre, and I look forward to further news on the permanent home for the Banking Hub in due course.
