A little bit about Dolau Bach
Dolau Bach y Borth is a small voluntary organisation that is working to restore hay meadow habitats in Borth. Our main site is on common land near the railway line in the middle of the village. This site was once a ‘Cae Ysbyty’ - a hospital field, where herbs and wildflowers were grown in the hay to keep livestock healthy.
Meadow restoration is a slow process, work so far has included managing invasive species, surveying the site and making plans for cutting hay and increasing the biodiversity.
