Although the Summer holidays have come to a close there is still time to sign up and complete this years Summer Reading Challenge at any Bolton library!

Anyone who completes the challenge before Sunday 13th September will receive a special medal and certificate to celebrate their achievement and entered in prize draws to win some incredible prizes; Lego bundle, Jellycat bundle and Ukulele set.

Listen to Oliver’s published poems including ‘The Men Who Became The River’ and ‘Breach’ commemorating Little Levers Local history.

A small collection of Little Lever local history items will also be on display during this time.

Theatre over October Half Term🎭

The Jeweller’s Daughter is a theatre show full of celebration and culture. It tells the story of a little island in the Indian Ocean called Zanzibar; of a girl whose family were forced to leave, and the welcoming community they then found.

Based on a true story and with lots of games, colour, costumes, music and memories– The Jeweller’s Daughter aims to celebrate difference, bring joy and encourage us to learn about others experiences.

Workshop activity begins at 10:30am which leads into the show at 11am, the same happens at 1:30pm leading into a performance at 2pm

Looking for a good book this Bank Holiday? 📚

Central Library, Bolton Museum and Aquarium will be open on Bank Holiday Monday from 10am to 4pm.

Please note that all other libraries and Cafe Crescent will be closed on Monday, but will reopen on Tuesday 1 September.

Planning a visit this weekend?

Please note that Cafe Crescent at Central Library will be closed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The good news is that the Bolton Food and Drink Festival is taking place right outside, offering a fantastic range of food and drink stalls to explore. 🍽️

📚 Central Library 🏛️ Bolton Museum 🐠 Bolton Aquarium will all be open as normal, with Bank Holiday Monday opening hours of 10am to 4pm.
