https://linktr.ee/mysistershousecio?utm_source=linktree_profile_share<sid=c1697b72-8828-46c9-ae37-de6976a4a4d2 Improving the lives of women facing a combination of the following; Homelessness, Substance misuse, Mental illness, Extreme poverty, Violence and abuse, and Social Isolation. We want to treat women as whole addressing all the social harms they face rather than focusing on single issues, and building on their strengths and capabilities. We want to improve the services locally for women, reduce the lack of power experienced by women who are facing severe and multiple disadvantages and reduce inequalities, discrimination and exclusion.

Your Community Cares

Calling all practised and budding knitters, crocheters and crafters from across the county!

We need you to help - Your Community Cares to create white woollen hearts over the next couple of weeks - these will be handed out by community rail volunteers this November as a simple reminder to rail passengers and staff that their community cares about them.

The hearts you make can be any stitch, style or design but should be between 4cm and 10cm in size, they can be flat or stuffed, embellished or plain, the only requirement is that they are made using white wool, felt or fabric.

Whether you craft on your own, as a half term project with the kids or as part of an interest group, we would love you to get involved in this community project.

To help you get started, we have included a selection of knitting, crochet and felt patterns, there are plenty of helpful videos online to get you started too.

Completed hearts can be dropped off at any West Sussex library between now and 31 October.

Happy crafting!

World Food
This , we want women in our community to know that support is available, and you don’t have to face things alone.

At My Sisters’ House Women’s Centre, we provide free, compassionate and non-judgemental support to women across Arun and Chichester, including practical help when money is tight and accessing everyday essentials becomes difficult.

We can help you to:

Access foodbank vouchers.

Arrange referrals to our partner organisations including for children's clothing and for drop-in food collections.

Access free toiletries, sexual health kits and period products from our Bognor Regis or Chichester offices.

We understand that life can be challenging, and asking for help isn’t always easy. Our friendly team is here to listen, offer support and help you explore the options available to you, without judgement.

We’re delighted to announce that My Sisters' House Women's Centre has been selected as the official charity partner of the 2027 Bognor Prom Running Festival!.

This exciting event will help us raise both vital funds and awareness, enabling us to continue supporting women across the Arun and Chichester Districts. It will help ensure that women, young women and children facing abuse in our community continue to have somewhere safe to turn.

We are incredibly honoured to have this opportunity to reach new audiences, raise awareness that domestic abuse affects every community, and provide additional support to runners who wish to raise individual sponsorship for us.
We’re excited to be working alongside the organisers, Bognor Regis Tone Zone Runners and the Rotary Club of Bognor Hotham, and have some exciting announcements still to come. Keep an eye out for updates.

Some conversations are incredibly difficult to start, especially when they touch on loss, grief and experiences that are often kept private.

During Baby Loss Awareness Week, we stand with everyone affected by the loss of a baby and recognise the importance of creating safe, compassionate spaces where people feel able to talk, be heard, and seek support without judgement.

Thank you to Pregnancy Options for helping to break the silence around baby loss and for supporting people through some of life's most challenging conversations. 💙🩷

This week is Baby Loss Awareness Week.

For the next seven days, we’re making space to remember the babies who passed before, during, or shortly after birth, and to stand with everyone who has carried that loss.

If this is your story, you don’t have to carry it alone. We’ll be sharing space to reflect, support, and remember throughout the week, including the Wave of Light on 15th of October, when we light candles at 7pm to remember together.

If you need someone to talk to, we’re here. No judgement or pressure ever. 💙🩷
