"Strong social justice and a great sense of humour" - tributes paid today as we said goodbye to the wonderful Ray Mills. One of our members for many years, Ray was a Labour Town Councillor a few years back and always a very good one.
Originally from London, Ray was a fine session musician - in fact his funeral ended with a great video rendition of him playing the lead guitar in 'Johnny B. Good' just a few years back.
Ray grew up in London, then he and his wife Margaret moved to Southampton where his children grew up. Later on he moved to Bognor Regis then finally joined the wonderful Jane after Margaret's sad loss. He ended up in Felpham for the past few years, before being admitted to St Wilfrid's Hospice where he passed away on 6th May.
We miss him hugely.
With much love from your Labour friends Ray ###x
