We’re supporting ’s important campaign. Don’t put Drugs in the driving seat. Young men are more likely to underestimate the risks: 41% think it’s OK to drive after taking drugs if you feel fine.

The campaign reminds drivers of the consequences they can face if they choose to drive after taking drugs: how they could losr control of their life, their freedom and their future.

THINK! Don’t put drugs in the driving seat.

THINK! are re-running the campaign this summer to warn young drivers of the serious consequences if they choose to drug drive. 21,791 people were convicted of drug driving offences in England and Wales in 2025, a number that has been steadily rising over the last 10 years*. 👷‍♀️ We’re continuing our safety testing of the new lane control system at Saltash Tunnel and across the Tamar Bridge. This is to ensure it’s working as it should.

❌ We’ll be testing the display symbols on the new overhead lane signals. The symbols include red crosses, white arrows, and green arrows.

📆 Testing will take place overnight (7.30pm – 6am) on Monday 20 April and Tuesday 21 April.

🚦 During testing, traffic might be held briefly at temporary traffic signals. This is for the safety of drivers to avoid confusion while the testing is taking place.

⚠️ Please continue to stay in lane, follow the current traffic management and not the overhead signals.

Belonging is the sense of acceptance people feel at work, at home and in the community.
The draft Belonging in Cornwall strategy is our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion over the next four years. It sets out plans for a fair and inclusive Cornwall where everyone feels welcome and that they belong. It helps us meet the requirements of the Equality Act 2010.
We welcome your views on this draft strategy and our first-year action plan. We want to hear if there are any other important issues/areas that we should focus on.

👀 We’re carrying out essential surveys on the A38 between Tamar Bridge roundabout and Forder Valley.

✅ These routine surveys help us to ensure that the region’s roads are fit for now and the future. Our works will also reduce the risk of future unplanned closures.

🚧 One lane will be closed in each direction on the A38 on Sunday 25 January (7.30am – 6pm) between Tamar Bridge roundabout and Forder Valley.

🚧 For a short period of time in the morning, the westbound lane closure will also extend up to the Marsh Mills junction.

⚠️ Significant delays are expected so please:
🔸 consider using alternative routes
🔸 If you choose to travel, plan ahead and allow plenty of time for journeys

👷‍♀️ We understand lane closures can be frustrating. These surveys need to be undertaken during daylight hours. We’ll be working at the weekend as this is when there’s the least amount of traffic on the road. By working this way, we can complete the surveys as safely and efficiently as possible, with overall less disruption to the travelling public.

☀️ This work is subject to favourable weather conditions. If we’re unable to complete our work as planned, we may need to return to complete the surveys at a later date.
