** CANCELLED TONIGHT, BACK NEXT MONTH! **

Anima Pacha Drums, a space where healing begins from within.

You are invited to sink into a sound bath, where gentle vibrations wash over you like waves of calm. Sound bath is a form of meditation allowing the nervous system into deep rest, softening stress and mental noise. As the sounds move through the body, tension unwinds and breath finds an easier rhythm. This is a space to reset, restore balance, and reconnect with a quieter inner knowing. Come as you are, lie back, and let the sound do the healing.

🏑 BOAT OF GARTEN COMMUNITY HALL

Following a spring of poetry, music and community gatherings, we’re delighted to now share more of what lies ahead for the rest of the year - including new themed evenings, new venues, festival collaborations, workshops and familiar faces returning to the stage.

In June, Storylands Sessions arrives in Boat of Garten Community Hall for a special evening exploring visual art, landscape, memory and place.

Theme: ROOTED: roots and routes; hidden landscapes; weathered surfaces; maps and boundaries; peat, stone and water; shelter and exposure; what remains, memory held in land.

ROOTED is a new kind of Storylands Sessions gathering - bringing together artists, makers, and musicians for an evening of creative responses to the landscapes and communities around us. Rather than our usual short mixed-format contributions, artists will be invited to share their work in longer 10-minute slots, speaking about process, inspiration, environment and the stories held within their work. Some artists will also bring artwork to display during the evening, creating a relaxed and informal exhibition atmosphere alongside the performances and conversations.

The evening will include live music between contributors to create atmosphere and weave the evening together.

Whether you have come to exhibit, speak, perform, listen or simply spend an evening surrounded by creativity and conversation, we would love to welcome you.

Almanac is a new large-scale project by composer Thomas Butler, commissioned by Red Note Ensemble, using contemporary musical performance to mark events in the natural world.

The first chapter of Thomas Butler’s Almanac marks the emergence of dragonflies and damselflies as they transition from water to air.
Combining live performance and field recordings, Emergence traces this moment of transformation through sound, image and movement. Shaped by ecological research and set within the landscape that inspires it, the work invites audiences to experience this fragile and vital process up close.
The performance includes a guided visit to observe dragonflies and damselflies in partnership with RSPB, followed by a Q&A with composer Thomas Butler.

The Almanac cycle is kindly supported by the Vaughan Williams Foundation.
