The Slade Local Nature Reserve The Slade Local Nature Reserve is owned by Bloxham Parish Council and managed by a team of local volunteers.

Access to The Slade is from the public footpath that leads from the Recreation Ground on the South Newington road.

Many thanks to the lovely volunteers that helped repair some of the boardwalk at this morning's work party. Still some work to do, so please take care when you are treading the boards in the reserve. There are 3 cordoned off sections that you must walk around.

Please join us for our annual meadow cut event at The Slade tomorrow 26th July between 10am and 12midday. We have 2 qualified Forest School Leaders to entertain your children whilst you lend a helping hand with cutting and stacking the meadowsweet in the meadow.
There is no charge for this event, but please email us to let us know you are coming: [email protected]
