Years of extensive training, expert tuition, a little trial and error and a lot of love, lead to a well-grounded and much practised expertise in the care and maintenance of our built heritage. With care, any building, from the most prestigious to the most humble, may be cared for and successfully conserved and restored. The greatest link is the connection with the past...And a passion for the fu

ture. With years of experience with the care and restoration of many prestigious buildings, I also work on your smaller homes. From cob and chalk to Georgian to the modern estate building, I can emulate the past or create the future. If you have big ideas or small plans, give me a call.

A good bit of progress this week. As soon as the corner was dry enough to hold the roof, we could reveal the damage of the front wall - which is split vertically nearest the corner, and has a previously bodged diagonal fracture - which is to be rebuilt. All vertical blocks are secured by long fixings into the original, and all vertical cracks have been cross-stitched using 'spiro-ties'.

An elderly carriage-house in the Piddle valley in need of a fair bit more than tlc! Years of neglect and patching with cement have covered up the truth for far too long - when the side fell off... Now to uncover the awful truth, and rebuild and repair using the correct materials.

Local roof repairs for what the original roofer forgot to do properly... Furry creatures had nibbled their way in due to no mesh/barrier under the tile eaves. The gable was covered in very poor waney-edge planks which guided more water in than away, there was a bucketful of old cement left over in the side-gutter, as it must have been a Friday! The gutter/side-gutter didn't work properly, and until I altered both - including re-using old lead - poured water down the end of the window-frame... All fixed and properly tested. :-)
