Race the Sun - is there a better Army endurance event?
Held last week at 2 Signal Regiment in York, the event was easily one of the best. With over 360 soldiers from across the Corps and wider Defence taking part, it had everything from a half marathon to SIGROX, triathlon to a log race.
Well done to everyone who took part and helped made it happen.

Last weekend, soldiers from 3 (Div) Signal Regiment travelled to Normandy to represent the Corps and pay tribute to those who took part in the D-Day landings.

Over the course of the visit, they attended a number of commemorative parades and events, where the courage, sacrifice and determination of the soldiers who landed on the beaches of Normandy on 6 June 1944 and fought for the liberation of Europe was remembered.

What a spectacular day celebrating His Majesty the King’s offical birthday. In glorious sunshine, over 1400 members of the Armed Forces paraded together in London and it was our soldiers from 251 Sig Sqn who helped make it possible. Working behind the scenes, they coordinated the parade timings, ran the comms network and oversaw responses to any unforeseen events. They also fitted discreet radios to key members of the Household Division and other participants in the parade.

Our soldiers may not have been in the limelight, but they deserve recognition for the vital role they played in making yesterday such a success.

This is a fantastic achievement and well-deserved recognition of the commitment he has shown throughout his apprenticeship journey.
