THE HISTORY OF C***R 🍏 | Friday 2nd October

Ever wondered how c***r went from an ancient drink to the Dorset tradition we know and love today?

Join us at Myncen Farm, home of Cranborne Chase C***r, for a fascinating evening exploring The History of C***r, presented by James Crowden.

James will take us on a journey through the ages, bringing the story of c***r to life with slides, stories and plenty of fascinating detail. We’ll also take a glimpse into the traditional craft and history of hurdle-making on Cranborne Chase.

Expect an evening of folk music, poetry, c***r, stories and a Q&A, all in the relaxed surroundings of the farm.

Elderflowers appear to be a couple of weeks earlier this year, something to do with the heat 🥵 wave 👋? It’s been all hands on to get this batch picked ready for more elderflower c***r packaging over the next month. ***r

Quite different from early February in the orchard when it had a river running through! What a change in a few months, now the ground is cracking and we’ll be hoping for rain again soon. A promising display of blossom, we’ll have a better idea of crop prospects in a few months time. ***r
