Never seen so many Orchids on the front lawn. Fantastic. Must be doing something right in the way we manage it!

The garden is now open for the summer! Come along and enjoy the blooms.

On Oil Beetle on the front lawn. These are quite rare. They have a symbiotic relationship with solitary bees. The loss of out native meadows which are the home of solitary bees mean the loss of the poor old Oil Beetle! Do like my insect life! Shows are lawn is being managed in a way that supports wildlife.

A Sunday walk through the garden and along the burn walk. Apple blossom just coming out. Late this year. Never seen so many Primroses and Violets. So pleased that where I have cleared the invasive Rhodies over the years the native flora is returning. Where the last of the Laurels and Rhodies were cleared this winter even though it looks bare at the moment it won't take long to recover.

Butterflies! Beautiful painted lady and orange tips. The reason I don't mow till later on! Also a delicate wood anemone.

Violets! Never seen such a lovely patch of violets. This is on a man made bank too! My favourite flower after Primroses. Even though I'm a gardener do prefer wild flowers.

The Daffodills are at their best and everything is blooming. Late this year, but some warm weather will bring everything on. Although the nights are still frosty.

Happy Easter! The burn is raging with snow run off. All the seasons in one day, typical Easter weather. 🐇🐣

The burn up again today. Not raging quite as bad as has been, mainly snow melt today as we have had slightly drier weather! Quite a view of the burn. The path hangs high up over the burn. Not one for the vertigo sufferers!

Happy St Brigids day or Imbolc. We have actually had a day without rain. More on the way though! Not gardening weather. But great to see the snowdrops up and lighter evenings. Hope for the Spring.
