Over the last few days the young team along with one of our volunteers have created small adaptations to the jumps. This has given them the opportunity to think, create/build and ride whilst working together as a team. Please note that the jumps are only partially modified, leaving plenty room for novice riders to still enjoy the track. Here are some photos and videos of them getting stuck in. Blair riders

With the help of Blair riders there is some small changes happening at the track. Making it user friendly for bmx and mtb. These changes will be ongoing so please be careful and patient, Thanks guys.

Massive community effort with lots of support from PKC, community groups, businesses and you, the good community of Blairgowrie and Rattray. We all hope you enjoy Westfield Common. Bring on the sunshine and laughs. ☀️😁

The new sign with some of ours and the community members signatures who have helped get Westfield Common the upgrade it has needed. As you will appreciate, the challenge of getting everyone who has helped with the bike park, the grass cutting, the endless litter picking, groups and spin off projects not to mention all the sponsorship and raffle prize donators was going to be a huge task. And so we opted for writing "100s of community members". Remember this common has been built for the community by the community and you have all done your bit. Kudos to all who have supported the track area, the banter bench and now the all new park. It took a long time but it's done and it looks great. Hopefully a great summer ahead to enjoy it all.

Massive thank you BiodiversityBlair and PKC Community Green space for planting a variety of trees and removing a lot of the invasive Himalayan Balsam. It is very much appreciated from all of us at the track. Thank you.

Looking forward to seeing what BiodiversityBlair do at the track today. Some new trees, plants etc to be planted and the burn will get some attention too. We have recognised that the space as great as it is, needs some tlc and small additions. Along with the planting, we will be doing some minor works to some of the jumps and berms to try and create a smoother ride for all users. This won't happen over night, but, will start soon and with the help of the young folk who use the track most, we are confident it will be a fine revamp. 🤙

Tonight we had a small get together at the track to discuss alterations to ensure we are accessible to different pedal powered bikes.
The Rattray and District Bike Park is looking great, thanks to our volunteer grass maintenance crew, along with the Banter Bench team.
Tonight we invited local lads from the Blair riders group. Their enthusiasm and input has shown us where even minor adjustments will make for a better ride for them. We will be working with the young people to ensure we are meeting their high expectations 🤣 some cracking suggestions and some ambitious ones too. So good to see such enthusiastic, keen, young folk just wanting to help out and volunteer their time. It's admirable.

As you can see from Piotr Gudan post. The all new play park is now open. Wheelchair accessible pic nic tables, zip line, and state of the art climbing frame. This is a fantastic addition which compliments the track and vice versa. Along with the Banter Bench quiet area, there really is lots going on at Westfield Common. New goal posts are coming soon too. Great space to spend time with family and friends. Get up and give it a try. 👍
