The Tullibardine Restaurant will be closed on Saturday 6th June for a private event.

The Cannon our outdoor food cabin will be open all day serving hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, soup, savoury and sweet home baked goods. Please note that only card payments are accepted at The Cannon.

Join us for our annual Atholl Estates Charity Day at Blair Castle & Gardens where Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance is our Charity of the Year for 2026.

Saturday 13th June
10am - 5pm (last entry 3.45pm)

Join us for a fun, informative and no doubt, eye-opening day. The SCAA team will be present with their mascot to engage with visitors and explain what they do and why public generosity and fundraising days are so important to keeping their vital service operating.

All takings from house and gardens tickets for the day will be donated to SCAA and a donation will be made to Scotland’s Garden Scheme.

In the afternoon on Saturday 23rd May The Atholl Highlanders Parade will take place on the forecourt of Blair Castle.

For this prestigious event we will close the castle to visitors at 1pm. If you would like to visit inside the castle, last entry will be 12pm.

The garden and grounds, restaurant, the cannon food hut and toilets will be open throughout the day. The gift shop will be open all day, apart from during the parade.

We look forward to welcoming all our visitors to this spectacular event.

We’ve officially placed our order for good weather, and it looks like it’s being delivered just in time….

The forecast for this weekend’s Atholl Highlanders Parade and Atholl Gathering is looking fantastic. There’s truly nothing better than Blair Castle looking its best in spring sunshine, backed by the sound of the pipes.

Join us on 23rd and 24th May at Blair Castle & Gardens for a great weekend, full of tradition, spectacle and fun.

Saturday 23rd May | Atholl Highlanders Parade

Experience the unique chance to see Europe’s only remaining private regiment March On outside Blair Castle. Complete with music from the pipe band, traditional firing of the cannon.

Sunday 24th May | Atholl Gathering and Highland Games

Enjoy a full day of traditional Highland events and family-friendly activities. Watch competitors from across Scotland take part in classic events, alongside Piper and Highland Dancing competitions. Atholl Highlanders also take centre stage in races and tug'o'war.

Public notice | An “Extreme” wildfire danger assessment is in place until 2nd May.

In line with the Cairngorms National Park Fire Management Bylaw, it is an offence to light a fire in the National Park from 1 April to 30 September. Across the whole estate, we ask guests and visitors to be extra vigilant during this period and not to: drop ci******es, light campfires or barbecues.

Thank you for your cooperation in protecting our landscape and each other.

The Atholl Gathering (Highland Games) returns this spring.

Join us at Blair Castle on Sunday 24th May 2026 for a full day of traditional Highland events and family-friendly activity.

Competitors from across Scotland will take part in classic events including tossing the caber, putting the shot, and throwing the hammer. There’s also Highland dancing, piping competitions, tug o’ war, and races for both children and adults.

Alongside the action in the arena, enjoy trade stands, local food and drink, and a handful of children’s rides, making it a great day out for all ages.

23rd & 24th May | 10.30am - 1.30pm

Join foraging expert Tamara for a 2.5 hour walk through the varied habitats of Blair Castle garden and grounds. Discover edible and medicinal plants and learn identification techniques and wild plant recipes. Conclude with wild tea and cake in Hercules Garden.
