Did you know about the old Welsh Easter tradition on "Dydd Llun Clapio" of clapping for eggs?

Clap, clap, os gwelwch chi’n dda ga’i wy? Geneth fychan (neu fachgen bychan) ar y plwy.

Translation: Clap, clap, please may I have an egg? Young girl [or boy] on the parish.

Just like Halloween, children would go door to door singing rhymes and clapping for chicken eggs.
