Our first ever WW2 themed photoshoot for the experienced photographer was hosted by Shelia and her team this May.
Both 3 hour sessions were well supported and the models and photographers had a great time.
We still have a few tickets remaining for our September WW2 RAF Themed Photography day, which can be purchased via the ticket source link below.

Fathers Day 2026. If you are planning a Fathers Day outing to the Spitfire Visitor Centre for Fathers Day 2026 - Remember that we are "Closed" on Sunday the 21st June, but will be "OPEN" for an early Fathers Day on Saturday 20th June.
The Hangar will be closed on Sundays from and including the 14th June to help support our travelling events program through July and August.
We will be open Saturday, Monday and Tuesday through the School Summer holidays, but please check our Google Business listing opening hours as we will be closed Saturday 8th & 15th August 2026 also.

The 2 seat Spitfire Flight experiences are back with us at Hangar 42 for another weekend of Bucket List enthusiasts to take to the air above Lancashire.
The Spitfire will be flying several times each day, so why not plan a visit to see her at Blackpool Airport where you can view our collection and perhaps reserve your flight in July or August!! ✈️✈️

There is still a lot to do to her including a full cockpit upgrade, so keep watching 👀👀

The Spitfire Visitor centre is a self funding business that relies wholly on hiring out its collection and welcoming paying visitors into the WW2 Hangar at Blackpool Airport. We do not receive any grants or lottery funding to support our projects.

That said we love to work with other fundraisers who spend their time and effort in support of good causes such as the Challenge Louisa fundraiser (see the link) or supporting local organisations such as Official Donna's Dream House - Blackpool with free visits for their visitors.

Why not show your support online by entering Louisa's raflfle and helping her meet her target?

Tickets will be on sale in person at Lytham Hall parkrun on 6th June. Cash is preferred, however if we get a decent phone signal then card payments can also be taken. The raffle will be drawn by the end of the day on 6th June. Proceeds to go to Diabetes UK, with a donation also being made to Lytham....
