🚞 A big thank you to the fantastic Year 10 students from Armfield Academy and their teacher for the energy and pride they’ve brought to this art project — you’ve made a real difference.

It’s also been a true team effort, with support from Network Rail, Community Rail, South Fylde Railway, Northern Rail and their wonderful mascot, Whistle, for bringing some extra fun and character to the day. Thanks also to our local police and the Pleasure Beach— all working together to help create something the whole community can feel proud of.

What a difference at The Pleasure Beach station! Huge credit to the dedicated Friends of Pleasure Beach Station group for making it such a colourful, welcoming space. 🌼🌷🌺🌸

I was made very welcome when I visited the Unitarian community centre on Saturday. It’s open on Saturdays for breakfast and good company from 10am to 12.30pm. (Amazing food)

Families, couples or on your own, all welcome. looking for something to do or a bit of community support or just getting to know a few people in the area drop by, the entrance to the hall is on Thames Road behind the church. 🍳☕️😊

My thoughts are with everyone affected by the fire on Waterloo Road — including the local businesses, residents, and the wider community. This has been a distressing incident, and I know many people will be worried about the impact on their homes and livelihoods.

I want to thank the emergency services for their swift, professional, and courageous response, and for the support they continue to provide. Our community is strong, and I know we will come together to support those affected in the days ahead.
