https://www.facebook.com/NightsafeCharity/ Nightsafe was established in 1990 and has led the way in alleviating the plight faced by young people aged 16-24 becoming homeless in the borough. Since Nigh
tsafe began in December 1990 we have:-
• Helped over 12,500 young people
• Given over 36,500 nights off the street
• Provided over 125,000 meals
• Had over 650 dedicated volunteers. Nightsafe has had 2 new projects start last summer funded by Big Lottery and Children in Need-these are the Volunteer and Mentoring Scheme and LEAP which stands for Lifeskills, Education and Aspirations Project. Both projects work with young people across all of our services linking opportunities and support in all aspects of our work. Volunteers and mentors add extra value to our services as it enables us to bring new skills and ideas to the table without the additional cost, as well as providing quality training and work experience.
