Deafgard is a portable, self-contained fire alarm alerting device designed for deaf and hard of hearing occupants in sleeping environments such as hotels, social housing and student accommodation.

Engineered Protection for Modern Lithium-ion Fire Risks: CX-LFX-006-ASS Contempo LFX Extinguisher

Acorn Fire and Security, your partner in supply and support, is pleased to introduce the CX-LFX-006-ASS from CheckFire. The Contempo LFX 6 litre lithium-ion battery fire extinguisher is now available in a premium stainless-steel finish.

With a 27A fire rating, PFAS-free formulation and suitability for devices up to 600Wh, the 6 litre Contempo LFX provides reliable fire protection combined with a modern aesthetic. It is designed for environments where appearance is important but lithium-ion battery risks are present.

When failure occurs, lithium-ion batteries can enter thermal runaway. This results in rapid heat generation, fire escalation and the release of flammable and toxic gases. These incidents can develop quickly and present significant challenges for fire services due to their intensity and behaviour.
