This morning we were joined by the wonderful Olive and the team from Castlebank, who presented us with a very generous donation of more than £130!

This donation will help to fund our community services that provide direct, effective support for those in need

They also enjoyed a lovely cuppa in our Beehive Coffee Shop + Pantry!

Today we have thoroughly enjoyed sharing our very first Famileo Gazette! It was wonderful to read the latest family news, see photographs, and reminisce together. Seeing the Gazette brought a lovely smile to Olive’s face and sparked lots of conversation and happy memories. ❤️

Today at Castlebank, we enjoyed a fun and engaging quiz session together! Residents put their knowledge to the test, shared plenty of laughs, and enjoyed some friendly competition along the way.

Quiz activities help to stimulate memory, encourage social interaction, boost confidence, and support cognitive wellbeing while providing lots of enjoyment for everyone involved.

🎳 We have enjoyed a fun and competitive game of skittles at Castlebank today! There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition, and great team spirit throughout the afternoon.

Games like skittles help to promote physical activity, improve coordination and balance, encourage social interaction, and support overall wellbeing.

A fantastic time was had by all! 😊

Today at Castlebank, we’ve had a lovely day getting creative and making some beautiful handmade cards. Creative activities are a wonderful way to encourage self-expression, improve fine motor skills, and bring a sense of achievement 🎨💐

We also enjoyed a visit from the hairdresser, helping our residents look and feel their best while boosting confidence, wellbeing, and social interaction!

Today at Castlebank we have enjoyed a wide variety of activities throughout the home, keeping everyone engaged, active and smiling. From games and creative activities to relaxing social time together, there has been something for everyone to enjoy.

Taking part in different activities each day can help to support physical wellbeing, encourage social interaction, stimulate memory and concentration, and most importantly bring plenty of laughter and happiness to our residents. 💛

Today at Castlebank we enjoyed a fascinating history lesson all about Donald Campbell and the legendary Bluebird. We learned about Donald Campbell’s incredible achievements, the tragic accident on Coniston Water, and the remarkable restoration of the Bluebird. Residents also enjoyed discussing last week’s special unveiling of the Bluebird in the Lake District, bringing history to life and sparking lots of memories and conversation.

Activities like these encourage reminiscence, learning, social interaction and meaningful discussion whilst keeping minds active and engaged. 💙
