Amazing resource for our community

We are excited to announce that we are trying something new and launching our own Cockfield Primary School playgroup!

Starting on TUESDAY 21ST MAY and then taking place weekly during term time, we are aiming to create a safe space for babies and toddlers to engage in new activities and for adults to make and strengthen connections with each other.

£2.50 per session with a drink and snack for children and adults.

Please feel free to share with anybody who you think might be interested and feel free to pop along with your pre-schoolers and younger!

Fabulous

Our Cockfield Primary School Book Trail is taking place this weekend. You can pick up a map from Mrs Wright in the mornings or after school or from the school porch for £1.

Our Librarians have worked really hard to create this trail for the community. There will be 21 book covers hidden around the village and the map will help you to locate them and then you can answer a question about the book cover on the map.

Please share so that as many people as possible can take part.

Come along and support your local school, a chance to pick up a bargain and raise funds at the same time

Don’t forget on the 9th March (next Saturday) we are hosting our first Table Top Sale...a chance to have a good clear out and/or pick up some bargains, join in a bit of community spirit and raise some more funds for all of our fun in school!!

Brown’s AGA Bakery will be coming with their amazing cakes and pastries.

Cockfield Primary School are looking for people who care about the school and would like to become a Governor. You don’t have to be a parent,carer or even have a child in the school, you just need to have an interest in what happens in the school, an open mind and be prepared to attend meetings .

We understand people have commitment’s and are busy so we will work with you as best as possible

**missing cat**
He is called leonardo and is new to cockfield because I am looking after him for someone. My flatmate accidently let him out and he has been missing for nearly a week. We live in a flat in manor grove but he has potentially also been seen near the community cafe so it's possible he is anywhere in cockfield

Hi, my mum has lost her cat in Cockfield, she lives down by St Mary's Church and the newsagents and hasn't seen her for a week. I wondered if you could post a picture to see if anyone has seen her?

Shes been missing since Friday 2nd, live near the newsagents by St Mary's. She won't be wearing her collar and doesn't venture far Thankyou!

Hi, we are in the process of buying our first home in the area due to work relocation but we will be needing to move our Son's to local schools so I'm just looking for info/advice on any in the surrounding area's please as well as any bus routes that serve them please? One is currently year 10 so sadly has to transfer with only his last year of school left which isn't ideal as he has already studied most of his school's exam curriculum and the youngest will be only just be starting secondary school in September anyway so may find the move much easier than his big brother! He has only just started football training so although he is a complete beginner he loves it so it would be great to find out info on anything similar in the area too please......Thanks in advance😊x
