Water companies have a responsibility to support customers in vulnerable circumstances. They will prioritise help to those who need it most.

If you need extra help from your water company due to life factors, such as a health condition, or being of pensionable age, contact your water company to check if you're eligible for their Priority Services Register.

You'll get:

- advance notice before any planned work near your home

- more regular updates if there's an emergency affecting your water

- bottled water delivered to you until your supply is restored

Once signed up, you can receive information about your water services in formats that work for you, such as braille, audio or large print.

England could need around five billion extra litres of water every day by the 2050s. Climate change, population growth and rising demand mean our current supplies will not be enough.

Reducing leaks and cutting demand will help, but they won't close the gap on their own. That's why new water infrastructure is essential.

RAPID is working with others to develop projects including reservoirs, water transfers, water recycling and desalination. Together, these will help make our water supplies more resilient, sustainable and drought resistant.
