Definitely disgraceful ....scrutiny is equals to transparency...these are not optional, they are a core part of democracy. This decision sends the wrong message to residents whom am sure expect accountability from day one not when it suits you.

Delivery aligned perfectly with World Book Day and the National Year of Reading 2026. These wonderful additions to our library will greatly enhance our students' learning and literacy skills. I can’t say enough about how important books are to me—they’ve always been my escape, a place where my imagination can run free. 📚✨

In my current reading group, I’m one of the few who still hasn’t switched to digital… I just love the feel of a real book and the simple joy of turning each page.

I’m so grateful that Sandwell has managed to keep its libraries open. And the introduction of a mobile library is so great? Honestly, it was a lifesaver when I couldn’t get to one when I was younger.

It makes me so happy seeing my son fall in love with reading too—he’s really into Tom Gates right now! Still working on getting him to branch out a little more… one book at a time 💙
