📰One of the women we work with is featured in the Mirror today, talking about her experience of being given an ISC order. The Intensive Supervision Court order are an alternative to prison, and involve weekly meetings at a women's centre.
ℹ️Emma was asked to tell her story because the Justice Secretary has announced an expansion of the scheme. There are currently five ISCs across the country - with Birmingham being the sole women's only court. It's been announced that £9 million pounds in funding will mean there are eleven by 2029, six will be for women.

📰This headline isn't suprising. We know housing is a top concern for women that we see, more than a quarter of all women who come to drop-in have a housing need. We're also seeing rising numbers of street homeless women, and almost twice as many again who are sofa surfing.
🟣Our staff speak to women are choosing to rough sleep as they say it feels less dangerous than the other options they are given. Safe housing needs to be a priority locally, and nationally.

Two thirds of the women counted in a charity-led census would not have been recorded using the government method.
