⚠️ Product Safety Report for Vestel UK Plugs in Bush TiVo Televisions. 2 of 2

The products present a risk of fire as the plug fuse does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1362. A compliant, correctly rated fuse is required to ensure the safe operation of the product under fault conditions. Should a fault occur, the plug may overheat and catch fire.

This affects Vestel UK-branded plugs fitted to various models of Bush TiVo televisions sold by Argos from December 2024 – March 2026.

To check whether a product is affected and request a free replacement accessory (replacement power cable or fuse) you can visit: https://argos-productcheck.tmti.net/en/bush_tv_cable/start.html . Follow the online steps to arrange for a replacement plug and lead to be provided. Once the replacement plug lead has been received, customers should remove the original plug lead and dispose of it safely via a WEEE recycling facility. ⚠️

This affects Vestel UK-branded plugs fitted to various brands of television sold between November 2024 and February 2026. The serial number is printed on the rating plate sticker, located on the reverse of the television. If the reverse cannot be accessed, check the plug instead. If the wording YR-308 is present on the plug, the product is affected.

Today is international Button Battery Awareness Day and along with Child Accident Prevention Trust we want to raise awareness among parents and carers about the potential dangers to children from button batteries.

⚠️Button batteries react with saliva to make caustic soda, which is used to unblock drains. If a child swallows a button battery and it gets stuck in their food pipe, it can burn a hole. This causes internal bleeding and can kill.

Follow these 5 steps:

👀Look - around your home for button batteries. Think toys, lights, remote controls and more
👀Check - for products with loose backs and button batteries that have dropped out.
✅Store - button batteries in a safe place, up high and out of your child’s reach.
✅Dispose- of used button batteries as soon as you can. They are still unsafe.
🚑Act - if you think your child may have swallowed a button battery, go straight to A&E or call an ambulance.

The products present a risk to health as the sand inside the doorstops may contain a small quantity of asbestos.

The products have been withdrawn from the market and recalled from customers by Dunelm. Anyone with these products should stop using the products immediately and keep them out of the reach of children. Follow the recall instructions for details on disposal and return of the products. ⚠
