It was a pleasure to attend the Community Health & Wellbeing Event at Stechford Leisure Centre yesterday alongside the Chair of Stechford Masjid Mohammed Yasin

It was a fantastic initiative bringing together health professionals, community organisations and local residents to promote healthier lifestyles and wellbeing. It was great to meet so many residents, have some positive conversations and hear their views.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising such a successful event. I look forward to supporting many more community health and wellbeing events in the future.

As Cabinet Member for Housing, it was great to spend a couple of days in Liverpool attending The Housing Community Summit.

​It was an insightful opportunity to engage with key stakeholders, listen to discussions on the future of housing, and speak about our shared priorities for building stronger, more sustainable communities.

​While in Liverpool, I also had the chance to take in some of the city's iconic landmarks along the waterfront, including Pier Head, the Royal Liver Building, and the Beatles Statue.

Great to attend the launch of the Healthy Living, Wellbeing & Carer Support programme with Bridge Point West Midlands CIC

It was fantastic to meet local residents and hear about the valuable work being done to promote healthier lifestyles, improve wellbeing and provide support for carers in our community.

Partnership working is essential if we are to build stronger, healthier communities, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact this initiative will have across Birmingham.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making this programme a reality. Together, we can ensure residents have access to the support they need to live healthier, happier lives.

🏗️ This morning I had the opportunity to visit Brockworth Road to see the excellent progress being made on 12 new apartments for social rent.

Working in partnership with Lovell, these high-quality new homes will be offered to residents who were rehoused as part of the Druids Heath Regeneration in other parts of the city, giving them the chance to move back to the community they call home. 🏡

I look forward to seeing the development completed and welcoming residents back into their new homes. 👏

Fly-tippers, take note.

To the driver of the white Ford Transit van responsible for fly-tipping on Victoria Road, Stechford – we have your vehicle details.

An enforcement penalty notice will be on its way.

Across Birmingham, we are taking a tougher approach to those who think it's acceptable to dump rubbish on our streets. Fly-tipping blights our neighbourhoods and taxpayers shouldn't have to foot the bill for clearing up after offenders.

If you choose to fly-tip, we will pursue you. Your time is coming.

Together, let's keep our communities clean. Report fly-tipping and help us hold offenders to account.

It was a pleasure to support today's Community Day at Oaklands Recreation Ground alongside Cllr Atikur Rehman.

It was great to see so many local families enjoying the event and taking the opportunity to meet our emergency services and partner organisations. Events like these help bring communities together and strengthen the relationship between residents and the services that support them.

As always, it's good to be out in the community, meeting residents, listening to their views, and celebrating everything that makes our area such a great place to live.

Thank you to everyone who helped organise such a successful day.
