There’s never a dull moment at Forge Mill! 💚

Over the past few weeks, the people we support have been out and about enjoying everything from local days out to birthdays, music and time with friends.

🎳 Tom enjoyed a game of bowling.
🌳 Jack and Ollie made the most of the sunshine with trips to Cannon Hill Park.
🚤 Martin spent the day in Stratford-upon-Avon, taking a boat trip along the river before enjoying lunch out.
🚗 Michael got stuck into washing the cars.
🎉 Danny celebrated his birthday looking incredibly smart.
💃 David and Lauren enjoyed a fantastic evening together at Steps Club.
🎤 Ben had a sing and dance alongside Locality Manager Sarah and Ollie did karaoke!
☀️ Tilat enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine.
✈️ Archie and Ollie rounded things off with a visit to the Royal Air Force Museum.

Every person has their own interests, routines and goals - and that’s exactly how support at Forge Mill is delivered.

At Midway Care Group, no two days are the same.

For Kelly from our 100 Goodyers Supported Living service in Coventry, that meant a trip to the beach to enjoy the sunshine, a paddle in the sea and plenty of time exploring a local car show.

Supporting people with learning disabilities and autism isn’t just about providing direct care. It’s about helping people enjoy the things they love, build confidence, increase their skills and stay active.

☀️ Sunshine, good food and great company!

The people we support from Drayton Court, Boathouse Supported Living and Boathouse Residential recently came together for a fantastic summer BBQ in Staffordshire. 🍔🌭

Hosted by the team at Drayton Court, the event was made even more special as the people we support helped fund it themselves through money raised at their crafting club. A brilliant example of people working together, developing skills and enjoying the rewards of their hard work. 💚

There was plenty of delicious food on the BBQ, time to relax in the sunshine and lots of laughter shared between friends from across the services.

ℹ️ Both Drayton Court and Boathouse Supported Living are part of Inclusion Housing and currently have 1 vacancy available at each service.

A few lovely snapshots from Brewers Meadow showing the things people have been enjoying recently with staff support 💚

Hamza had a great time at the cinema watching Mario with support from Mam and Farhan, enjoyed a visit to Chasewater and attended Friday Jummah prayers at the mosque.

Holly made the most of the sunshine with a trip to the local park, enjoying some fresh air and experimenting with some fun photo filters along the way! 🥰

We’re delighted to share that The Lodge, our Wednesbury Residential Service, has been rated GOOD by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)! 💚

This achievement reflects the hard work, commitment and compassion of our fantastic team, who support people every day to live fulfilling lives, develop independence and achieve their personal goals.

A huge thank you to our colleagues, the people we support, their families and everyone involved in making The Lodge such a positive place to live and work.

Colebank is one of our specialist residential services with a real focus on progression, independence and people building the skills and confidence for their next steps - including moving people towards supported living where this is right for them.

This is not about a traditional residential look or feel. It is about good values, ordinary life, choice, involvement and people being supported to do the things that matter to them.

🌻 Uxbridge & Glebe House Supported Living 🌻

There has been lots going on across our services Uxbridge, in Coventry and Glebe House, in Leamington Spa, with people enjoying time outdoor, making the most of the warmer weather.

🦋 The Uxbridge team visited the Butterfly Farm in Stafford, exploring and getting up close to some beautiful butterflies.

🌱 Back at home, people supported at Uxbridge have been working with Inclusion Housing, who kindly provided planters and soil to help create a lovely garden space. Everyone got involved planting, gardening and taking pride in making their outdoor area more welcoming and enjoyable for the summer.

🍔 Uxbridge also hosted their first ever BBQ, bringing people together to enjoy good food, great company and some sunshine ☀️

🎲 Meanwhile, the Uxbridge team joined friends at Glebe House for a BBQ and games afternoon, giving everyone the opportunity to socialise, have fun and spend time together.

☀️ A great day out for Team Uxbridge! ☀️

The team headed to Coventry to support one of our colleagues, who was showcasing her delicious homemade African food at the Eventitys business event. It was fantastic to see everyone coming together to support a local small business and celebrate the talents of our wider team 🌍🍲

There was also time to relax and enjoy the sunshine, with a visit to the event, a look around the stalls and a lovely pub lunch. 😊

At Midway Care Group, we know our colleagues have lives, families, interests and even their own business ventures outside of work. We offer flexible opportunities that help people balance work around other commitments, while supporting them to pursue their goals and passions. 💚
