It's that time of year again 🌲🌲and we are happy to announce that we are again running a mini appeal for the The Secret Santa Appeal.

This year is a little different as we haven't been allocated tags so there is a poster in the Post Office (on the back wall) with all of the children that need gifts this year.
Please pop in, pick a child to buy for and write your name in the allocated space.

All gifts must be back with us by Thursday the 11th of December ❤️❤️❤️

We have spent a lot of time today on the phone to post office ltd, it's looking like we are going to get the keys and right to be open on Monday. However they need to audit the postmaster that's leaving to make sure nothing untoward has happened (I can basically guarantee this audit will be fine) so fingers crossed the post office will likely be open on Tuesday with me (Anthony) as the postmaster. I'm probably not going to be there due to my course but I will likely try to pop in when I can, our main priority was getting this facility available again for the people of Bingley and it looks like we've achieved that. So I look forward to seeing you all soon.

**Important announcement**

Hi all, it's Anthony and Alex here, some of you may have already seen the sign in the post office door saying "closed until further notice". Unfortunately the sale of the post office has fallen through right at the final hurdle. Obviously we would hate to see this much needed facility disappear from our beloved Bingley, so we have agreed to take it back on.

As most of you know we had new plans for our future but we can't just leave the post office at risk. We have a lot of juggling to do behind the scenes and are currently working closely with post office ltd to get us back in as soon as possible, we are hoping this will be by mid week next week.

We are in contact with the staff and are working very hard to ensure we can keep their jobs secure during this time.
We are very disappointed that it has come to this but we will try our very best to get it back open as soon as possible. We will keep you updated with information as and when we have it.

So we have left the post office as I'm sure most of you are aware however the sale hasn't officially gone through and we are hoping this will be this week, it's been a pleasure getting to know all of you! Alex is now a manual driving instructor and you can follow her Passing With Alexandra Clegg and I will be training to be a plumber and you can follow my progress Anthony clegg plumbing. We are planning a leaving do on Saturday 28th June at the the brown cow from 7pm onward, if you're free it would be great to see you. Again it's been a pleasure and we will miss you all

Hi all, so we have finally got a (hopefully) completion date for the post office, the 16th of June should be my last day, the post office will likely be closed on the 17th depending on how long our final audit takes. As a lot of you know Selina Bates will be staying on and early signs indicate she will be running it, Malcolm (who covered while I was on holiday) will be doing 2 days a week, meaning a third person is needed for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. If you think this is an opportunity that would suit you please pm us and we will pass your details onto the buyer, it's great customer care experience and you genuinely get to meet all the wonderful varying folks of Bingley. I've had a wonderful time serving you all and I will continue to do so in my last 4 weeks

Hi, as you all know we have sold the post office, which should all be completed in the not too distant future. Alex has become a driving instructor.
Many people have asked me what I will be doing and the answer is I will be training to become a plumber, on learning this many people have asked for my number so I have decided to create a page so that I can keep you all updated on my progress and when I will be fully qualified.

So we said a fond fair well to our fabulous team member Dom today, we wish Dom the best of luck on her new path, she has been a great asset to our team ❤️
This is a strange time for us as it's starting to sink in that we will be saying our farewells shortly and handing over to the new owners 😬
As we can not take on new staff at this in-between phase of the sale we will unfortunately be closed on Saturdays until the new owners take over.
