Horsham Labour have shown themselves to be cowards and bulllies by accusing Horsham Primary of deliberately misleading the public. And then when invited to discuss and explain - to have an adult face-to-face conversation - they run a mile. Grown up politics? I think not.

I don't know what Horsham Labour are saying to their members and supporters. The video below describes the situation in the South Devon Primary and has striking similarity with that in Horsham.

Horsham Primary's purpose is to end over 100 years of Tory MPs in Horsham. And in GE2024 there is a genuine opportunity to do that.

The way to achieve it has been through engaging as many progressively-minded people as we were able to reach in the short time available.

Supporters' role was to consider the voting history of Horsham, the candidates, what recent polling was predicting, what tactical voting organisations were recommending, and their knowledge and feel for the constituency.

They were then asked to choose the candidate / party they believed to be best placed to defeat the sitting Conservative MP. Of the 301 supporters who participated in the secure OpaVote ballot 9 out of 10 chose John Milne / Horsham Lib Dems our People's Champion.

Compared to the size of the constituency, 301 is not a large number but it's many times the sample size of a typical MRP poll. And very importantly this was the choice of engaged and informed people with a stake in and real knowledge of the constituency.

We were at the hustings last week and were impressed by all of the progressive candidates - Labour, Lib Dem and Green. Any of the three could have been chosen as the People's Champion and would have our full support.

All three will be on the ballot paper and people should of course vote how they wish. But if you want to make history in Horsham and defeat Jeremy Quin, then a vote for John Milne is the only way to go. A vote for Labour or Greens risks allowing the Conservatives to win yet again. Let's not allow that to happen!

I've swapped my vote with someone who will vote for the Green Party in another constituency on the understanding that I vote for the Liberal Democrats in Horsham Lib Dems which I have already done.
