A gentle reminder that this year's Floral Fringe Fair has been cancelled following the very sad passing of Jean.

We know many of you are still coming to terms with the news, and we would like to thank everyone for the incredible kindness, messages and support that has been shown to Jean, Steve and the family over the past few days. ❤️

We are continuing to work through everything relating to the cancelled fair, and we really appreciate everyone's patience and understanding while we do so.

We also wish to apologise to anyone who received an event reminder from our ticketing system. This was sent in error, and we are working with the ticketing company to ensure no further reminders are sent. We are very sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

If you would like to make a donation in Jean's memory, a fundraising page has been set up for St Wilfrid's Hospice in Bosham. The response has already been incredibly generous, with over £3,000 donated so far. ❤️

Dear all,

It has been a very tough few days since Jean, my wife, passed away, but I would like to thank everyone for all your messages and support during this very difficult time.

On Tuesday, Jean fell downstairs and bumped her head, although she didn’t realise she had hit her head. I made her sit down for a few minutes, but she then started to develop a very bad headache, so I called 999.

Unfortunately, she had bleeding in and around her brain. On Wednesday, I had to give permission for the hospital to turn off her life support. As you know, she passed away peacefully on Thursday night, holding my hand while we listened to Classic FM. 😥

Jean hated funeral services, so I have made the decision not to have one.

Jean was very upset when she lost her good friend Louis a few months ago, and she had been trying to find a way to raise money for the St Wilfrid's Hospice in Bosham.

This is my opportunity to try and make that happen. Instead of flowers, I would like to ask for donations to the hospice through Ian Hart Funeral Services in Worthing. Please follow this link: https://jeanjackman.muchloved.com/

💔 FLORAL FRINGE FAIR CANCELLED

We are incredibly saddened to announce that Jean peacefully passed away last night with Steve by her side.

As many of you will know, Jean has been the heart of the Floral Fringe Fair, and with her passing, we have had to make the incredibly difficult decision to cancel this year's Floral Fringe Fair.

We know this will come as a huge shock to so many of you. Our wonderful stallholders, performers, caterers, friends, supporters and visitors have all put so much time, preparation and excitement into this year's event, and we are truly sorry that it cannot go ahead.

An email has been sent to all ticket holders regarding the cancellation and refunds. Please check your inbox, including your junk/spam folder, for the information.

Refunds will take some time to work through, and we really appreciate your patience while everything is put in place and processed.

Stallholders, performers and caterers should have all received an email from us. If you haven't received yours, please complete the form below so we can make sure we have the correct details for you.

Meet the maker....or in this case...meet the baker! .marvellous.cakes

A family affair as Mike, Mel's husband and Felix, her son, help out serving the delicious vintage teas.

We're very proud to say Mel will be running our main vintage tearoom at Floral Fringe this year. You will find it on the left as you emerge from the woodland into the meadow.
You won't want to miss it!

Mel's delicious homemade scones in a cream tea followed by heavenly slices of real homemade cake. All served from vintage china.

We're still smiling after receiving The Muddy Stilettos award for Best Family Experience in Sussex 2026.

This award means so much to us because Floral Fringe has always been about creating a welcoming, friendly and wonderfully eclectic day out, for people of all ages.

From our talented stall holders and entertainers to our brilliant volunteers, loyal visitors and everyone who has supported the fair over the years, this award belongs to you all 💚

A huge thank you again to everyone who nominated us and voted for Floral Fringe Fair. Your support helped make this very special moment possible.

We're looking forward to welcoming you back to the woodland on 5th and 6th September 2026 for another unforgettable weekend of creativity, music, shopping, entertainment and unexpected discoveries.

A visit to magical to finalize plans for Floral Fringe 2026 taking place very soon, over the weekend of September 5/6th.

This atmospheric woodland inspires me every time I visit. It is full of a certain indescribable something that relaxes you. I do wonder if ley lines run through it 🤔

In just under four weeks time the woodland will be full of life and laughter from stalls and music drifting from the woodland stage. You pass through the woodland and out into the clearing which is the main meadow, with many more stalls and the classic cars.
