🔧 WORK STARTING AT FRANKLINS RECREATION GROUND 🌳

From today, Tuesday 8 September, our Public Realm Team will be installing temporary Heras fencing around two areas of play equipment at Franklins Recreation Ground. This will allow preparation and painting works to be safely carried out.

🎨 The works are expected to take around four weeks, although this may vary depending on weather conditions.

The fencing is there to keep everyone safe while the work is underway, so please do not enter the fenced areas.

We apologise for any temporary inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we carry out these improvements to the recreation ground. 💚

🌱🌷 JOIN US FOR SPRING PLANTING AND APPLE PICKING! 🌷🌱

We’re getting ready to add a splash of colour to Saxon Gate Pocket Park – and we’d love you to join us!

Biggleswade Town Council is working with Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (BRCC) to hold a community planting morning on Saturday 26 September.

🌷 BRCC is funding the spring bulbs such as daffodils, bluebells and snowdrops and will provide tools for planting!
🌱 Our Public Realm Team will prepare the ground
🙌 The community gets to do the planting!
🍎 Pick apples from the trees in the orchard! Bags and buckets will be provided.

It’s a lovely opportunity to get outdoors, meet other local people and help make our town greener and more beautiful.
